Our Canadian Canoes offer a fun, safe and affordable way to explore the Kennet & Avon Canal. Fun for all ages, friends & families they provide a great way to spend a couple of hours or so all year round.

From Monday to Sunday, hire from 9am.

A family of 4 (2 adults & 2 small children under 10 years of age) or 3 medium sized adults is a maximum that can fit into our Canadian Canoes safely.

Dogs are very welcome to join you on your canoe trip and join us on a visit to our Café situated directly alongside the canal where your dog(s) can enjoy our free Doggy Beer (H2O) and free Premium Dog Biscuits should they wish - or bring your own!

Our Café overlooks The Canal Lock so please consider making a table reservation and you will be sure to get the best view and all the passing canal activity!

Although the canal is no more than 4ft deep or so and has no significant current, life jackets and dry buckets (to keep your mobile phone and keys safe & dry) are included in the price of hire.

WARNING!

Please note that our canoe hire is at your own risk and you are warned that there is a chance of a capsize on entry and departure of a canoe and during your trip if not handled correctly.

We can also look after any buggies / bags at our canal side Café whilst you enjoy your trip along the canal.

A 2hr trip will get you to Avoncliff in about 25 minutes where you will you find the Aqueduct passing over the River Avon and beyond for a further 30 minutes or so , or more visiting sites should you wish to book additonal time.

Please note that same day reservations via email are not accepted but you are welcome to visit us where any non-reserved or returning canoes will be made available on a first come first served basis.
